Silagen Silicone Strips provide targeted coverage for short, linear scars. Each package contains three clear, self-adhesive silicone strips measuring 1 inch by 3 inches. They are designed for healed scars up to 2 inches long, including scars following biopsies, laparoscopic procedures, liposuction and breast augmentation.
Begin using Silagen only after the wound has completely healed or sutures have been removed. Apply each strip adhesive-side down to clean, dry skin that is free from creams, lotions, ointments and perfumes.
Silagen recommends wearing the strips for 10 to 16 hours daily. Remove them at least once every 12 hours to inspect, clean and dry the skin. Wash every two to three days with mild hand soap and water, then air-dry before reapplying. Each strip may last three to four weeks with gentle handling. Follow your DPSAZ provider’s recommendations for use.
